“Prairie Sky” wall hangings

My work is created from wool and silk unless otherwise noted.  I work on primitive linen backing with fabric strips, yarn, roving, and mohair locks.  Some of the yarn is hand spun art yarn spun by myself and others.  All hand dyed material is dyed to exacting standards.  I do include some commercially dyed fibres for added texture.  All designs are original.  Any items lined are lined with 100% quilter’s cotton.

Care of these pieces is simple.   As with most fibre art it is best if it is not hung in direct sunlight.  If dusty, dust it with a feather duster.  If it should need washing for some reason, rinse it in cold water and dry on a flat surface.  Do not rub, agitate, or use soap.  Re-block it when still damp and lay flat to dry.  Give a final pressing on the back before hanging to admire on your wall again.  If in doubt, contact me before washing.
